Bourgon Castle, located between Bergeard and Montourtier, is located four kilometers from the site where the future wind turbines will be installed.
A new simulation was conducted using weather balloons on Tuesday, April 12. The goal was to assess the visual impact of the future wind farm as seen from Bourgon Castle. Listed as a historic monument, the castle welcomes 3,000 visitors a year.
The owners, who believe that the three wind turbines visible from their castle will cause them harm, have retained a lawyer. The final decision rests with the prefect. A public hearing must first be held.
It is expected to begin at the start of the next school year.
