Who hasn’t heard or read Aragon’s poem “Les yeux d’Elsa”?

Elsa, born in Russia in the late 19th century, lived in Paris and was involved in much of the artistic life of the early 20th century. A muse and companion to Louis Aragon, it is often forgotten that she was also a writer—the first woman to win the Prix Goncourt in France…

Brigitte Damiens brings this extraordinary woman back to life with great emotion.

This show premiered on October 9 at the Moulin de Saint Arnoult, which was once the home of Aragon and Elsa and is now their final resting place.
