Katja Keller, who studied at the Copenhagen Conservatory, offers a workshop on developing perfect pitch. She has devised a method called MAP, which allows participants to mark the vast landscape of the sound world with indicators that are like road signs drawn on a map.
Through personalized coaching sessions or small-group workshops (in French or English), featuring both physical and psychological exercises—including relaxation techniques and mnemonic devices— the method first teaches students to sharpen their perception, identify and isolate the twelve notes, and then interpret intervals and harmonies vertically and string together notes and melodies horizontally.
The benefits are many: as a musician, accuracy, memory, and the ability to analyze a piece as a whole; and, as a human being, a more sensitive way of hearing the vibrations of the world.
