Concert: Henri Lucchesi on March 18, 2017, at 6:00 p.m. - Surprise program!
A cocktail reception will follow! Everyone is asked to bring something to share—drinks, salads, terrines, etc. There will be a collection to help fund Henri’s education; a suggested contribution of 15€ is appreciated, and it’s free for children and students.
**Concert on Sunday, November 20, at 3:00 p.m. Henri Lucchesi on piano (winner of the 2016 Mayenne National Competition). All proceeds will go toward supporting and funding his piano lessons. Program: Mendelssohn’s Rondo Capriccioso, Liszt’s *Vallée d’Obermann*, Debussy’s Prelude “Les sons et les parfums tournent dans l’air du soir,” Liszt’s Polonaise No. 1, Debussy’s *Image* (Book 2) “Et la lune descend sur le temple qui fut,” Liszt’s “Rêve d’amour No. 3,” and Chopin’s “Polonaise-Fantaisie.”

Henri Lucchesi began his studies at the age of 3; he took a break for a few years between the ages of 10 and 16, then resumed his studies at the Rennes Conservatory, from which he graduated with a promising future ahead of him after winning the national piano competition in Mayenne in 2016.
He has just been accepted into the École Normale Supérieure in Paris, in Mickaël Wladkowski’s class; his scholarship application was pending but has just been denied… The concert on November 20 is being held to help fund his studies; since Henri is not a professional musician, the concert will be a pass-the-hat event (please contribute whatever you can or wish to encourage his talent and education). Henri very kindly played a few notes on the piano following a visit in front of a group of admiring children… Thank you for this lovely, spontaneous gesture that everyone appreciated.
