An event at Bourgon Castle! The castle’s unspoiled, pristine setting—a place outside of time—and the silence… all captivated filmmaker Albert Serra. A feature-length fiction film will be shot at the castle in September 2011.

EDITORIAL POLICY
Capricci’s editorial line is decidedly cinephile, radical, and aesthetically striking
: Jean Eustache, Straub and Huillet, Robert Kramer, Pedro Costa,
Albert Serra**, Ingmar Bergman, Monte Hellman… all great directors from the modern era of cinema.** Spanning multiple genres, Capricci distributes both documentaries and fiction films from around the world: France, China, the U.S., Portugal, Sweden, Spain, and more. In addition, unreleased films are featured alongside classic titles. The unique nature of these works requires significant support and outreach efforts, which Capricci provides in its role as a publisher.**PUBLISHING Capricci Publishing consists of a “Cinema” collection featuring essays, unpublished screenplays, collections of film criticism, and interviews with filmmakers; a “Critical Current Affairs” collection comprising paperback books on controversial topics related to cinema; two special issues; and a “Book-DVD” collection.
Furthermore, because there is an oral tradition of film appreciation, Capricci has launched “Capricci parlé,” a series of film clubs led by Capricci representatives at various movie theaters across France. The films are also often distributed through channels other than the traditional circuit, for example in the form of installations.
Capricci works across a wide range of media and through various networks; it is therefore not surprising that several of its authors come from the visual arts (Marie Voignier, Andy Guérif, Alain Della Negra, Kaori Kinoshita, and Raphaël Siboni). FOLLOWING THE AUTHORS 
This promotional work naturally led to collaborations at an early stage, right from the production phase.**After distributing *Honor de Cavalleria*, Albert Serra’s Catalan adaptation of *Don Quixote* in 2007, Capricci partnered on the production of his next film, *Le Chant des oiseaux*, which was released in theaters in early 2009. Finally, in 2010, Capricci published a book-and-DVD set for *Honor de Cavalleria*, in which Albert Serra provided an illustrated, shot-by-shot commentary on the entire film.**The same approach is applied to other filmmakers (Hue, Della Negra & Kinoshita, Rousseau, Creton, Hellman).**Capricci is thus a cinephile label whose ambition is to support artistic creation outside of industrial logic. In this way, it fosters the emergence of new cinematic forms.
