The first vegetable garden was created in 2007 near the outbuildings. Over the years, it has grown considerably. Many varieties of tomatoes and potatoes are grown there, as well as zucchini, pumpkins, garlic, onions, lettuce, parsley, strawberries, raspberries, currants, rhubarb, mint, thyme, rosemary, bay leaves, and more.
The castle’s vegetable garden is part of an environmentally friendly initiative. No chemical treatments are used. When new varieties of fruits, vegetables, or herbs are grown at Bourgon, we choose seeds from organic farming. \
